Through the Eyes of a Child

Supplies

1 tube of your choice - I used the artwork of Chris de Lara that can now be purchased at CILM
Font of Choice - I used Andrea Karime here
Vix Mask 452 here
Divine Intentionz Template 288 here
Eyecandy 4000 - Gradient Glow

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up my template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 5 layers and Glittered Rectangle layer.
Image/Canvas size:
650 x 550
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.

Highlight Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Glittered Oval 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 21 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise:
33%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Glittered Frame layer.
Repeat the above step using the same paper.

Highlight Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Tree as a new layer.
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Copy and paste Bubbles 2 just above Oval paper.
Selections/Invert
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the Oval paper layer the same Inner Bevel.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Close out the template layer.

Highlight Frame Background layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Close out the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize as needed and move into exact position.
Paste your tube again as a new layer keeping it much larger than the other.
Move it into position above the circle paper layer.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Duplicate/Move it into position above the Frame Background paper layer.
Highlight Frame Background template layer.
Click anywhere outside of the template.
Highlight the tube layer just above the paper.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Highlight the Circle template layer.
Click anywhere outside of the template.
Highlight the tube layer just above the circle paper layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Flower 5: Resize 25%
Flower 6: Resize 25% and 80%
Flower 7: Resize 25% and 60%
Bird 1: Resize 25%
Balloons 1 & 2: Resize 70%
Leaves 10: Resize 50%
Leaves 4: Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.
Move to the right side of your canvas.
Duplicate/Mirror/Flip

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Give it a slight inner bevel:


Apply Eyecandy 4000 - Gradient Glow:


Color Tab:
Change to white

Resize all layers 90%.

Open up my template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 4 layers.

Highlight Vertical Lines layer.
Click on both lines with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Horizontal Lines layer.
Repeat the above step using the same paper.

Highlight Top Circle Frame layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same Inner Bevel.

Highlight Bottom Circle Frame.
Repeat the above step using the same paper.

Highlight Top Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Bottom Circle layer.
Repeat the above step accept use a different tube.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Daisy 1: Resize 25% and 25%
Daisy 2: Resize 25%, 25%, and 80%
Leaf 1: Resize 25% and 70%/Free rotate right 35 degrees/Mirror
Leaf 2: Resize 25% and 70%/Flip/Free rotate right 35 degrees
Butterfly: Resize 25% and 70%
Cone Cluster: Resize 25% and 70%
Bow 3: Resize 25% and 70%

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 90%.

Secret Escape

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a blank 700 x 700 canvas.
Flood fill white.

In your color pallet:
Foreground: Null
Background: #efefef

Make your Ellipse Tool active set on Oval.
Make an oval approximately 625 X 450 pixels.
Convert to Raster layer.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome checked
Noise: 33%
OK

Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 10
New Raster layer.

Open up Button 2.
Shift + D.
Close out the Original.
Make your Clone Tool active.
Right click on any area of the button (so long as you don’t go over the edge of the button or over the holes in the button)
Hold down the left mouse button and cover the center holes.
Make your Selection Tool active and section out the center of the button.
In your layers pallet, set your foreground to Patten and search for the section of the button.
Make your working canvas active.
Flood fill with the pattern.
Copy and paste Magical Lights 1 as a new layer.
Resize 70% - move into position - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Invert

Selections/Modify/Contract by 50
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #efefef
Apply the same noise effect

Selections/Modify/Contract by 10
Copy and paste Scene 1 Paper as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position over the paper layer - see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Lower the Opacity to about 55.

Copy and paste Wooden Frame 1 as a new layer.
Resize 25%
Duplicate twice for a total of 3 frames.
Free rotate each frame:
Right 5 degrees
Left 10 degrees
Left 20 degrees

Move the frames into position - see my tag for reference.

Highlight one of the frames.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer below the frame.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light
Duplicate/Change the Properties to Multiply.

Repeat the above step with the other 2 frames.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Bow 2: Resize 25%/Free rotate left 20 degrees
Buttons 2, 3, & 4: Resize 25% and 50%
Natural Bloom 3: Resize
Sway Bridge 1
Natural Bloom 3
Doodle 2: Resize 60%
Butterfly 2: Resize 35%/Free rotate right 15 degrees
Feather 1: Resize 60%

Crop your image.

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Cryptic Corner

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a blank 700 x 700 canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 3 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Free rotate left 100 degrees.
Click inside with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Copy and paste Tree Limb as a new layer above the frame.
Resize 70%
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Duplicate/Move below the frame.
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of the paper with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tree limb that just above the paper.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Highlight the Tree limb that’s above the frame.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase any of the limb that overhangs the frame on the left side.
In the next bit of this tutorial see my tag for reference. Don’t worry about anything that you paste over the paper if it overhangs the frame - we’ll take care of that in a short while…

Copy and paste your tube above the paper.
Move into position.

Copy and paste Fence as a new layer above the tube.
Resize 60%
Duplicate/Move it so the ends of the fence match up.
Merge Down.

Copy and paste Smoke as a new layer just above the paper.

Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight your tube and each of the element layers and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Noose: Resize 35%
Bush: Resize 60%
Bush: Place behind the frame.
Time: Resize 75%
Crow: Resize 40%
Keys: Resize 40%
Spider: Resize 40%

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 120%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 7 layers.
Highlight the Background layer.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 600
OK
Flood fill white.

Highlight Pink Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 5.
Using your Selection Tool set on Rectangle section out the plain blue area between the trees.
In your color pallet set it to Pattern and find the blue paper section.
Highlight your working canvas.
Flood fill.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:
Default settings.
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Pink layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the color #451402.
Adjust/Ad Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked.
Noise: 33%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 2 Tone Back layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Black Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:
Default Settings.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Black Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 7 as a new layer.
Move it into position over the rectangle - placing anywhere so long as you don’t get any of the bird image in the rectangle.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Blue Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with color #451402 - Give it a slight texture of your choice.
Copy and paste your tube moving it into position over the square.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Duplicate
Delete the template layer.
To the square layer apply Eyecandy 4000 - Gradient Glow:


Add your embellishments. I used:
Embellie 20: Resize 60%
Embellie 33: Resize 50%
Embellie 35
Embellie 46: Resize 45%/Mirror

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Move the mask up slightly on your canvas.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 5 layers.
Highlight the Background layer.

New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Tent as a new layer - move into position:
See my tag for reference.
Copy and Paste Foal 1 and 2 as new layers.
Resize both: 40%
Move them into position - see my tag for reference.
Copy and patse your tube as a new layer just above the circle paper layer.
Resize larger - Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Selections/Invert
Highlight each of the embellishment layers and tube layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Blue Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Add your embellishments. I used:
Ele 4: Free rotate left 45 degrees
Song Bird: Resize 25% and 60%
Star: Resize 25% and 85%/Duplicate and Free Rotate as you like
Ivy 3
Feathers: Resize 50%/Free rotate left 60 degrees
Flower 1: Resize 40%/Duplciate/Resize 50%
Flower 2; Resize 30%
Flower 6: Resize 25%
Stones: Choose the smallest stone/Resize 25%/Duplicate 5 times and use your Pick tool to rotate them as you like - see my tag for reference of placement.

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Give it the same Inner bevel.
Apply the same Noise effect.

Resize all layers 80%.
