A Witch's Delight

Supplies

1 tube of your choice and 1 close up image - I used the artwork of Jim Lowery and can be purchased from MPT.
Font of Choice - I used Kolkata Hotelroom here
Scrap Rebellion Template 39 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 5 layers and tag back layer.
Open up the background layer.

Highlight L Glitter Square.
Use your Magic Wand and click on it.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #ae581f
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Monochrome and Gaussian checked
Noise: 45%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with R Glitter Square and Glitter circle.

Highlight Big Circle layer.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Copy and paste your close up image as a new layer.
Move into position over the paper layer.
Apply Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow to your image:


Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of the circle.
Highlight your tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight R Square.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Foreground: #000000.
Background: #ae581f
Style: Sunburst
Invert checked
OK
Flood fill with the gradient.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:

Deselect.

Highlight White Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Make Paper 3 active.
Free rotate left 90 degrees
Copy
Make your working canvas active.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.

Highlight Purple Circle.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the same gradient.
Deselect for now.
Copy and paste Element 30 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move into position in front of the circle - see my tag for reference.
Paste the element again.
Resize 70%
Move just above the gradient layer in your layers pallet.
Move into position over the circle - see my tag for reference.
Highlight the gradient layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the element layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.

Highlight L Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your embellishments. I used:
47: Resize 70%
54: Resize 30%
30: Resize 50%
33
11: Resize 80% - apply Pool Shadow effect
25: Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
27: Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight the white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Everything Eerie

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 4 layers.
Image/Canvas Size 700 x 600
Highlight the bottom layer and flood fill white.

Highlight the Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:


Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Eyecandy 4000 - Gradient Glow:


Color Tab:
White
OK

Copy and paste Wicked Witch as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow


Move it into exact position and give it an exaggerated drop shadow on it’s own layer.
Tip: Write down the drop shadow you used. You’ll need to use it again in this tutorial.

Copy and paste Crystal Ball as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Use your Freehand Selection Tool and outline the ball:


Copy and paste Kneeling Skeleton as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move into position over the ball - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.

Using your Freehand Selection Tool and outline the bar that goes across the ball:


Selections/Invert
Be sure your skeleton layer is highlighted and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate the skeleton and change the Properties to Multiply.

Merge Visible the Crystal Ball and both skeleton layers.
Give it drop shadow - NOT an exaggerated one.

Copy and paste Crow 2 as a new layer.
Resize 25%
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere outside of the crow.
Apply the Pool Shadow effect again:


Deselect.
Move the Crow so that it’s perched on top of the ball.
Give it a heavy drop shadow using the color white.

Merge visible the crow and merged crystal ball layer.
Give it the same exaggerated drop shadow you used before on it’s own layer.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Skulls: Resize 70% - give it a drop shadow/give it the exaggerated drop shadow on it’s own layer.
Bat: Resize 25%
Tree: Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight the white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits. If all you used was the scraps in this kit to create your tag, giving the designer credit on the tag would be greatly appreciated by Jen.

Add your name.
Apply the Pool Shadow effect - play around with the intensity bar to get the effect you like.

Resize all layers 80%.

Soft Whispers

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame as a new layer.
Click inside the frame with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect for now.

Copy and paste Bird as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Move beneath the frame in your layers pallet.

Copy and paste Bird 2 as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Move beneath the frame in your layers pallet.

Move both bird into exact position.
Highlight the paper layer.
Us your Magic Wand and click anywhere outside of the paper.
Highlight each of the bird layers and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Merge Visible both bird layers.
Change the Properties to Soft Light
Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Reopen your white background.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Bird: Resize 35%
Bird 2: Resize 25%/Mirror
Leaf String: Resize 40%/Mirror
Branch: Resize 70%
Flower Swag: Resize 70%/Mirror

Highlight the white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Copy and paste Light Post as a new layer above the mask.
Resize 80%
Move it into exact position.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Lower the Opacity to about 30 or so.

Copy and paste Stars as a new layer.
Resize 70%

Add your credits - if you only used the scrap kit to create your tag it would be super appreciated if you’d give credit to the kit designer.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

November Dreams

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 2 as a new layer.
Resize 30%
Click inside the frame with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer below the frame - position it to the right in the frame.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Luminance.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Reopen your white background.

Copy and paste Frame 1 again as a new layer.
Resize 30%
Free rotate left 10 degrees.
Click inside the frame with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 6.
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Duplicate/Move it into position below the frame in your layers pallet - see my tag for reference.
Highlight the paper layer.
Use your Magic Wand and click anywhere outside of the paper.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Multiply.

Close out your white background, merged layer, and the tube layer that‘s above your frame.
Merge Visible.
Reopen all layers and move both merged layers into position - see my tag for reference.

Add your embellishments. I used:
Band 1: Resize 25% & 70%
Drops 1: Resize 25% and 70%
Leave 7: Resize 25%
Leave 6: Resize 25% and 70%
Leave 4: Resize 25% and 70%/Free rotate right 35 degrees
Leave 5: Resize 25% and 60%
Kettle: Resize 25% and 50%/Free rotate left 60 degrees

Highlight the white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All
Copy and paste a paper of choice Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Choose your foreground and background colors.
Stroke set at 2.
Add your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 2
Give it an inner bevel:


Deselect.

Resize all layers 80%.
