Magic Dreams

 

Supplies

1 tube of choice -  I used the beautiful artwork of Jennifer Janesko which can now be purchased from CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Wretched here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

From Magic Dream 1 folder:
Copy and paste cadre11 as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Use your Freehand Selection tool set on Point to Point to outline the frame.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 39 Into Selection.
From Magic Dream 3 folder:
Copy and paste pluie de coeur2 as a new layer.
Resize 25% and 70%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
From Magic Dream 2 Folder:
Escalier 2:  Resize 30%
Feuille 8:  Resize 25% and 50%/Free rotate Right 10 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
From Magic Dream 3 Folder:
Fleur 14:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
Lune 1:  Resize 35%
Papillon 4:  Resize 25% and 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
Poussiere de fee:  Resize 30%/Dupicate
Pierre 3:  Resize 25% and 50%
Bandeau luminex 1:  Resize 30%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background:  Pattern/Paper 4
Stroke: .80
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Resize all layers 80%.

Beautiful Monster

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 80%
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 600
OK
New Raster layer.
Send to bottom.
Flood fill white.
Delete the following layers:
Top 2 layers, 7, 8. And 10

Highlight 9.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight 6.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 9 Into Selection.
Resize 60%
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight 5.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 45%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 1.
Merge Down.
Both slim rectangle should be on the same layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same noise effect.

Highlight Raster 4 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
DO NOT delete the template layer.

Highlight 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
DO NOT delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer at the top of your layers pallet.
This tube you want to position over both rectangles - see my tag for reference (it’s the larger of the two tubes)
Nestle it nicely into the corner of the paper that covers Template 4.
Highlight the Template 4 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Use your Eraser Tool to erase whatever you don’t want overhanging the rectangle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Paste your tube again.
This time position it over the paper that covers Template 3.
Highlight the template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Change the Properties to Overlay.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
Ribbon w Charm:  Resize 70%
Bow 2:  Resize 25% and 70%
Tree 1:  Resize 65%/Mirror
Tab:  Resize 65%
Fence Piece:  Resize 70%/Duplicate
Bow 1:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Left 45 degrees
Leaves:  Resize 90%/Mirror
Drop Back:  Resize 60%
Flower:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
Candle 2:  Resize 60%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate/Mirror

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background:  #6f1d31
Stroke: .80
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


If you don’t want to animate your tag you can save.

To animate:

Highlight the Candle layer.
Duplicate twice for a total of 3 candle layers.
Rename them Candle 1, 2, and 3.

Highlight Candle 1 layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Freehand.
Use it to outline all of the candle flames.

Apply Eyecandy 5:  Nature - Fire:
Settings Tab:
Small, Candle

Basic Tab:
 


Color:
Default Settings

OK

Highlight Candle 2 layer.
Apply the same fire effect accept hit the random seed button once.
OK

Highlight Candle 3 layer.
Apply the same fire effect accept hit the random seed button once.
OK
Deselect.

Close out Candle 2 and Candle 3 layers.
Keep open Candle 1 layer.

Copy Merge.

Time to Animate:

Open up Animation Shop.
Edit/Paste as New Animation.

Back in PSP.
Close out Candle 1 layer.
Open up Candle 2 layer.
Copy Merge

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.
Close out Candle 2layer.
Open up Candle 3 layer.
Copy Merge

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Ctrl + A to highlight all frame.
Animation/Frame Properties:
Change the Display time to 23.

Animation/Resize Animation:
Percentage of Original checked.
Width x Height: 80
OK

View your animation.
If you’re happy with it then save.

Mysterious Halloween

Note:
This tutorial was written specifically for this tube.  The majority of the elements in the tag are on separate layers when you purchase the tube.  The purchase of this tube is well worth it‘s cost giving you a big bang for your buck.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 80%
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 600
OK
New Raster layer.
Send to bottom.
Flood fill white.
Delete the following layers:
Copyright, Word Art, 1, 6, and 7.

Highlight 8.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 18 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes - Sprayed Strokes:
Stroke Length: 12
Spray Radius: 19
Stroke Direction:  Right Diag
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 5.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 10 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into position over the template layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 4.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 35%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Raster 4 layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Give it the same Noise effect.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 3.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Copy and paste the tube as a new layer - I used the 4th from the bottom tube - Tube (b) AL0031 Old Witch
Change the Properties to Soft light and position it over the circle - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight 2.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Copy and paste the shelves (Tube (e) AL0031 Old Witch) from the tube layers as a new layer.
Position it over the circle paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Use your Freehand Selection Tool to section out the cat on layer Tube (c) AL0031 Old Witch of your tube.
Copy
Make your working canvas active and paste as a new layer.
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Duplicate the cat layer.
Keep one cat layer below the round frame.
Move the other cat layer above the frame.
Highlight the round paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the cat below the frame.
Tap the delete key.
Highlight the cat above the frame.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase what overhangs the circle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize 70%
To get the feathered effect make your Freehand Selection Tool active set on Freehand.  Make a circle around your tube making sure the dotted line touches the area you want feathered.
Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather:
Both checked
Feather amount: 33%
OK
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key until you have the effect you want.
Deselect.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
From the tube I sectioned out the leaves that’s on the same layer as the cat.
From the kit:
Branch 2:  Resize 75%
Branch:  Resize 50%
Bird 3:  Resize 25% and 50%/Mirror

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate
Use your Target Tool and change the color to #6fac30.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #1e0f05
Background:  Pattern/Paper 9
Stroke: .80
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


If you don’t want to animate your tag you can save.

To animate:

Highlight the tube layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Eclipse.
Use it to outline all the bubbles in the cauldron.

Once you have that done, Right Click on the tube in your layers pallet./Promote Section to layer/Rename Bubble 1.
Highlight the tube again/Right Click/Promote Section to layer/Rename Bubble 2.
Highlight the tube once again/Right Click Promote Section to layer/Rename Bubble 3.

Highlight Bubble 1 layer.
Apply DSB Flux - Bright Noise:
Intensity: 35
Mix checked
OK

Highlight Bubble 2 layer.
Apply the same Bright Noise effect accept hit the mix button twice.

Highlight Bubble 3 layer.
Apply the same Bright Noise effect accept hit the mix button 3 times.
Deselect.
Close out Bubble 2 and Bubble 3 layers.
Leave Bubble 1 layer open.

Highlight the tube layer.
Duplicate twice for a total of 3 tube layers.
Rename each Smoke 1, Smoke 2, and Smoke 3.

Highlight Smoke 1 layer.
Use your Freehand Selection Tool set on Freehand and section out an area you want the smoke to go - it doesn’t have to be exact!


Apply Eyecandy 5:  Nature - Smoke:
Settings Tab:
Small, Bubbling Cauldron

Basic Tab:


Color and Lighting Tab:
Default Settings

OK

Highlight Smoke 2 layer.
Apply the same smoke effect accept hit the random seed button once.
OK

Highlight Smoke 3 layer.
Apply the same smoke effect accept hit the random seed button once.
OK
Deselect.

Close out Smoke 2 and Smoke 3 layers.
Keep open Smoke 1 layer.

Copy Merge.

Time to Animate:

Open up Animation Shop.
Edit/Paste as New Animation.

Back in PSP.
Close out Bubble 1 and Smoke 1 layer.
Open up Bubble 2 and Smoke 2 layer.
Copy Merge

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.
Close out Bubble 2and Smoke 2 layer.
Open up Bubble 3 and Smoke 3 layer.
Copy Merge

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Ctrl + A to highlight all frame.
Animation/Frame Properties:
Change the Display time to 25.

Animation/Resize Animation:
Percentage of Original checked.
Width x Height: 80
OK

View your animation.
If you’re happy with it then save.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
24:  Resize 50%
30:  Resize 25%
12:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
27:  Resize 30%Duplicate/Free Rotate right 10 degrees

Crop your image.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background:  Pattern/Paper 11
Stroke: .80
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Resize all layers 80%

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer.
Flood fill white.

Highlight Rectangle 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Rectangle 3 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Rectangle 4 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 5 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Center it in front of the circle.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
11:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
36:  Resize 30%
40:  Resize 25%
55:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror.  Duplicate both/Resize 70%
42:  Resize 30%/Duplicate/Mirror
5:  Resize 25%
13:  Resize 65%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Make your Selection Tool active set on rectangle.
Make a rectangle approximately 500 x 225 pixels.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Center it on the canvas.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel.


Make your Selection Tool active set on Circle.
Make a circle approximately 350 pixels.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 54 Into Selection - it’s alright wherever this circle is on your canvas.  We’ll move it later.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian checked
Noise: 35%
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 5.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Duplicate the tube layer.
Make it slightly larger and move below the original tube layer in your layers pallet.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.

Close out your white canvas and the rectangle layer.
Merge visible.
Reopen all layers.
Move the Merged layer to the left on your canvas - see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste Vintage Lace 50 as a new layer. 
Resize 25% and 50%
Position behind the right rectangle side.
Duplicate/Move over to the side left so that it’s flush with the side to make one long piece of lace.
Use your Eraser tool to erase the overlapping lace.
Merge Down.
Duplicate
Flip
Position behind the top of the rectangle.


Copy and paste Vintage Lace 2 as a new layer.
Resize 25% and 25%
Position at the right side of rectangle - see my tag for reference.
Duplicate/Move to the left so that it’s flush with the side to make one long piece of lace.
Use your Eraser Tool and erase the overlapping lace.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
Vintage Button 12:  Resize 25%, 25%, and 30%/Duplicate 3x’s and position at each corner of the rectangle.
Hair Clip 21:  Resize 25% and 50%/Free rotate Left 30 degrees
Pearl Swirl:  Resize 25% and 40%/Flip/Position at the top right corner/Duplicate/Flip/Position at the top right corner.  Duplicate/Mirror both Pearl Swirl layers and position at the bottom left corner.
Flower 7:  Resize 25%/Position at the top left area behind the circle/Duplicate/Mirror.  Duplicate and flip both flower layers.
Violet Ball:  Resize 25% and 60%
Vintage Rose:  Resize 25% and 40%/Dulicate/Mirror
Bronze Locket:  Resize 25% and 35%/Mirror
Purple flower 2:  Resize 25% and 40%/Duplicate
Vintage Clip:  Resize 25% and 40%/Mirror

Crop your Image.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate/Change the Properties to Overlay.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background:  #d385ac
Stroke: .80
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:’


Resize all layers 80%

Who's That Chick

 

Supplies

1 tube of choice and 1 close up - I used the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased at PSP Tubes Emporium.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used SNF Infinity which is a pay font.  Aquarelle here will work just as well.

Copy and paste your close up image as a new layer below the frame.
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to overlay.

Close out your white canvas.
Merge Visible.
Reopen your white canvas.
Duplicate
Free rotate Right 5 degrees.
Move the duplicated layer behind the original merged layer - see my tag for placement.
Give the original merged layer an exaggerated drop shadow.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
31:  Resize 70% and 90%
5:  Resize 25%/Duplicate
6:  Resize 25% and 70%/Duplicate
32:  Resize 25% and 75%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #fbd456
Background:  #000000
Stroke: .80
Type your name.

Resize all layers 80%

Resize 120%
Move the duplicate layer up a little.
Move it just above the paper layer in your layers pallet.
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the duplicated merged layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Lower the Opacity to about 20.

Add your elements.  I used:
Boo:  Resize 40%
Cane:  Resize 70%
Moon:  Resize 35%
Bow 2:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
Berries 1:  Duplicate/Mirror
Spider:  Resize 25% and 60%
Sparkles:  Resize 70%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #2f2315
Background:  #a54c0b
Stroke: 2.0
Type your name.
Give it an Inner Bevel:


Resize all layers 80%

The Witching Hour

 

Supplies

1 tube of choice -  I used the artwork of Joan Pelaez and can be purchased from CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Dark 11 here

My Mask 20 here

Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 5 as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move upward on your canvas - see my tag for reference.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:
Use default settings.
Deselect.

Copy and paste the following elements below the frame and move into position.  Don’t worry about what overhangs the frame.  We’ll clean the mess up in a bit.
Sign:  Resize 40%/Give it the same Pool Shadow effect.
Moon:  Resize 35%
Tree 1:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror

Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Tree 2:  Resize 80%/Position behind the frame
Tree 2 again:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
Cat:  Resize 30%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background:  #800000
Stroke: 1.23
Type your name.
Give it an Inner Bevel:


Resize all layers 80%
