Falling Hearts

 

Supplies

1 tube of choice - I used the beautiful artwork of Anna Marine which can be purchased at CDO.  You need a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Before the Rain here

“Thankful Hearts” is a FTU tagger size scrap kit created by me, Bev of HorsePlay’s Pasture Designs and can be downloaded from my designer blog here.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste 17 as a new layer.
Resize 90%
Click inside of each circle with your Magic Wand - be sure to click inside the bows that are within the circles.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 3.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer below the frame.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties to Overlay.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position slightly to the left of the frame.

Copy and paste 40 as a new layer.
In your color pallet set it to Pattern and look for bkpat14
Angle: 0
Scale: 100
Use your Target Tool and change the color of the hearts to this pattern.
Adjust/Brightness Contrast/Brightness/Contrast:
Brightness:  -54
Contrast:  32
OK

Add your elements.  I used:
24:  Resize 75%/Free rotate Left 85 degrees/Position behind the top circle/Duplicate/Position behind the middle circle/Duplicate/Free rotate Right 90 degrees/Position behind the bottom circle.
25:  Resize 35%/Duplciate/Mirror/Free rotate Right 25 degrees
26:  Resize 35%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste 19 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Free rotate Right 5 degrees.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Copy and paste 12 as a new layer above the paper layer.
Resize 50%
Copy and paste 22 as a new layer above the scarecrow layer.
Resize 50%
Selections/Invert
After moving the elements into the exact position you want highlight each of them and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
38:  Resize 95%
23:  Resize 70%
8:  Resize 50%
7:  Resize 40%
1:  Resize 25%/Mirror
2:  Resize 25%
44:  Resize 30%/Duplicate as many times as you like
15:  Resize 40%
25:  Resize 45%
26:  Resize 45%/Mirror

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity:  100
Opacity Drop off:  Fat
Color: #c39325
OK

Resize all layers 80%.

Fall Fun

 

Supplies

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Open up Background Scene paper.
Use your Selection Tool set on Rectangle and section out an area of the leaves.
In your color pallet set the foreground the pattern.
Look for the leaves you sectioned out.

Make your working canvas active.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Ellipse.
Create an oval approximately 625 x 350 pixels.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the leaf pattern.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 25%
OK
Duplicate
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass:
Use Default Settings
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Hard Light.
Selections/Modify/Contract by 7

Make the Background paper active.
Deselect.
Copy

Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Move into a position you like.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
If you’re using the tube I did, resize 40%
I also used the leaves from the tube and resized 40%

Add your embellishments.  I used:
Flower 5:  Resize 25% and 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate - Duplicate and flip all 3 flowers.  Position them at the top and bottom of the oval.
Leaf Pile:  Duplicate
Indian Corn:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Left 120 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
Acorns:  Resize 25% and 70%
Turkey 14:  Resize 25%
Fun Sparkles:  Resize 75%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply Tramages - Weaver:
Use Default Settings.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out slightly.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Steampunk Fall

 

Supplies

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
800 x 650
OK
Huge apologies for the canvas being so large.  Near the end of creating this tag I needed the room.
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 10 layers, Pixel Words, and Linear and Sparkle effect layer.

Highlight Circle 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step but DO NOT give it an inner bevel.

Repeat the above step with Thin Rectangle layer.

Highlight Glitter Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Resize 50%
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 40%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with the following layers:
Left Glitter Rectangle
Right Glitter Rectangle
Glitter Circle
Thin Glittered Rectangle
Dotted Rectangle layer

Highlight Left Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Element 1 as a new layer.
Resize 50%/Move into position over the rectangle paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Change the Properties to Overlay.

Highlight Right Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step accept use Element 36 and Resize it 80%.

Highlight Circle 2 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 3 as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Tap the delete key.
Paste your tube again.
Resize a little larger and move below and to the right of the other tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
13:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
37:  Resize 60%
25:  Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate each element layer/Free rotate Left 10 degrees/Move them into position - see my tag for reference.
6:  Resize 30%
21:  Resize 60%/Free rotate Right 45 degrees.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 75%.

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 550
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the following layers -
Credit, Stars, Finding Neverland, Black Shape, Kandi Word Art, Word Art Back, and Word Art Shadow

Highlight Top Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 10 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Move into position over the rectangle layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Bottom Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Right Blue Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 6 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position over the circle paper layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give the paper layer the same Inner Bevel.

Highlight Left Blue Circle layer.
Repeat the above step accept be sure the tube is facing opposite of the other tube layer.

Highlight Right Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Left Rectangle layer.
Repeat the above step accept be sure the tube is facing opposite of the other tube layer.

Highlight Rectangle Frames layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste 15 Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:

Apply the Pool Shadow Effect once more.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste 15 Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Apply Greg’s Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow:
Same Settings
Apply the Pool Shadow Effect once more.
Apply DSB Flux - Bright Noise:
Intensity: 35
Mix checked
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Purple Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Diamond Rain as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Dotted Line layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position in front of the circle layer.

Open up Spill 01element.
Use your Freehand Selection tool set on Rectangle and section out one of the starts.
Copy.
Paste as a new layer on your working canvas.
Resize  30%
Duplicate
Position one star at the corner of each rectangle - see my tag for reference.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
Flower Spray:  Resize 50%/Duplciate/Mirror
Bow 2:  Resize 25% and 60%
Butterfly 2:  Resize 25% and 40%
Daisy 01:  Resize 60%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  Gradient/Metal Brass/Angle: 66  Repeat: 3
Background:  #000000
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Give the the same inner bevel 2 times.

Resize all layers 80%.

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 85%
Delete the top 4 layers, Orange Strip, Purple Strip, Black Strip, Orange Strip, Purple Strip.

Highlight Left Purple Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Highlight Right Purple Square.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Black Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Purple Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 10%
OK
Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight White Frame Background layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Orange Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste 11 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Sparkles as a new layer.
Resize 70%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Moon as a new layer.
Move into position.
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Tree as a new layer.
Move into position.
Ta the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Middle Purple Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Top and Bottom Purple Square layers.

Merge Visible the 3 square layers.
Click anywhere outside of this merged layer with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer above the merged layer - move into position over it.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it more on the left side of your canvas.

Add your embellishments.  I used:
Flower 2:  Resize 30%/Duplicate
Flower 3:  Resize 25%/Duplciate
Cross 2

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 120%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Give it the same Inner Bevel.

Resize all layers 80%.

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 3 as a new layer.
Resize 45%
Free rotate Right 5 degrees.
Duplicate/Mirror
Duplicate
Move all 3 frame layers into position - see my tag for reference.

Highlight the center frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 2 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste Clouds as a new layer above the paper layer.
Resize 50%
Duplicate/Mirror
Move both cloud layers into a position you like.
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each cloud layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight the top left frame.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Highlight the bottom left frame.
Repeat the above step.

Add your elements.  I used:
Bow 5:  Resize 25%
Flower 8:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
Frame 6:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Resize 80%
Leaves:  Resize 70%/Position behind the frames/Duplicate/Mirror
Leaves again:  Resize 40%
Balloon:  Resize 25%
Tree:  Resize 60%
Cute Duck:  Resize 35%
Cute Bear:  Resize 35%
Butterfly 1:  Resize 10%/Free rotate Right 25 degrees
Butterfly 2:  Resize 10%/Free rotate Left 25 degrees

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 110%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #742b00
Background:  Pattern/Paper 8
Stroke: 1.0
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 1.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:


Deselect.

Resize all layers 80%.

Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 85%
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 550
OK
Highlight Bg layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 6 layers.

Highlight Green Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Orange Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Overlay.
Lower the Opacity to about 61
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Purple Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste El 27 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Green Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste El 28 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Blue Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste Element 18 as a new layer.
(You’ll arrange all element layers at the corners of the red square paper layer)
Resize 25%
Free rotate Right 6 degrees.
Duplicate/Mirror/Free rotate Right 10 degrees
Highlight the original element.
Duplicate/Flip/Free rotate Right 10 degrees.
Duplicate/Mirror/Free rotate Right 10 degrees

Add your embellishments.  I used:
11:  Resize 25%
17:  Resize 40%
15:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%
14:  Resize 25% and 60%
6:  25% and 40%/Duplicate/Mirror/Resize 70%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: Gradient/Metal Brass/Angle 66/Repeat 4
Background:  Pattern/Paper 5
