This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 325 x 400 pixels.
Flood fill with #5f040b
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform & Monochrome checked
Noise: 25%
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 4.

New Raster layer.
Flood fill with a gradient:
Foreground: #39bb5a
Background:  #faeed4
Style: Linear
Angle: 66
Repeats: 2
Copy and paste Tree 1 as a new layer - move into position - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight the glitter rectangle layer.
Duplicate
Move this layer up toward the top left corner just a little.
Make your Target Tool active and change the color to #404a1a.

Add your elements.  I used:
Poser of choice:  Resize 80%
Bauble 6:  Resize 30%
Bauble 1;  Resize 25%
Bow 2:  Resize 25% and 70%/Duplicate twice
Candle 1:  Resize 60%
Bauble 4:  Resize 35%
Garland 1:  To Feather the edges -
Make your Selection Tool active set on Circle.
Draw out a large Circle so that it’s where you’d like to see the edges of the curtain feathered.
Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather
Both checked
Feather amount: 48
OK
Selections/Invert
Be sure the curtain layer is highlight in your layers pallet and tap the delete key until you have the feathered look you want.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian blur:
Radius: 10.00
OK
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100%
Opacity Drop off:  Fat
Color:  White

Resize all layers 80%.

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the credit layer and overlay layer.

Highlight Rectangle 1 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel.
INSERT PIC HERE

Highlight Rectangle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Circle Back layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 75%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Copy and paste a Poser of your choice from the Poser folder.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Paste and resize the same poser you used in the circle.

Open up the word art that I supplied.
Copy and paste as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Christmas Train:  Resize 60%/Mirror
Reindeer:  Resize 85%
Tree Cake:  Resize 60%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #971f27
Convert to Raster layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100%
Opacity Drop off:  Fat
Color:  White

Resize all layers 80%.

Create a rectangle approximately 575 x 200 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give it the same slight Inner bevel.

Add your elements.  I used:
EL 4:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Free rotate Left 70 degrees/Duplicate Original/Resize 70%/Free rotate Right 70 degrees
EL 1
EL 2
EL 10
EL 7:  Resize 40%
EL 5:  Resize 50%
EL 9:  Resize 40%/Free rotate Right 40 degrees

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
Wreath 2:  Position behind the rec layer.
Wreath 2 again:  Resize 102%/Position behind the circle layer.
Birds on Branch:  Resize 70%
Holly and Bells:  Resize 50%
Pretty Bow 2: Resize 40%
Poinsettia with Banner
Santa Claus:  Resize 70%

Crop your Image.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out and move the bottom up a little if needed.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Set the foreground to gradient:
Style:  Linear

Open a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Glass Charm as a new layer.
Position at the left side of your canvas.
Duplicate/Mirror

Use your Selection Tool set on Square and trace around the inside of the charm.
New Raster layer below the charm.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer just below the charm.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Merge Visible the charm, tube, and gradient layer.

Highlight the other charm.
Repeat the above step using a different tube.

Add your elements.  I used:
Staple 2:  Resize 40%/Duplicate
Bulb Box:  Resize 60%
Reindeer:  Resize 40%
Candlestick:  Duplicate
Lace Ribbon 2:  Resize 30%/Duplicate 3 times
Merry Christmas 2:  Resize 65%
Bling 3;  resize 75%
Bing 4:  Resize 65%/Duplicate/Resize 70%

Crop your image.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Copy and paste Crushed Velvet 5 Paper Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Copy (2) of Raster 3.

Highlight Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Crushed Velvet 4 Paper Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Change the Properties to Luminance (Legacy)
Selections/Invert
Use your Eraser Tool to erase the parts of the tube you don’t want overhanging the circle.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer

Add your elements.  I used:
Holly Frame:  Resize 105%
Bow 1:  Resize 25%
Stars 2: Resize 25% and 50%/Duplicate
Jewel Flake 2:  Resize 25% and 50%
Apply Mura’s Meister - Copies:
Set to Wallpaper (Perspective)
Use Default settings
Erase the flakes you don’t want.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Crushed Velvet 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 115%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Highlight your white canvas.

Highlight Raster 5 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and Paste Bonus 3 paper Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3.1 - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100
Opacity Drop off:  Fat
Color: #890101
OK

Highlight Copy of Vector 1 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Copy of Vector 1 layer (big pink square).
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Apply Mura’s Mesiter - Cloud:
Hit the reset button.
OK
Duplicate/Change the Properties to Multiply
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Copy of Vector 1 layer (pink circle).
Repeat the above step.

Copy and paste Red Lights as a new layer.
Resize 60%
Move into position - see my tag for reference - DO NOT GIVE IT A DROP SHADOW YET.
Duplicate 3 times for a total of 4 light layers.
Rename them L1, L2, L3, and L4.

Highlight L1 layer.
Use your Freehand Selection Tool and section off just the bulbs as indicated below:


Make your Lighten/Darken Tool active and match your settings to mine:


Run your mouse over each bulb 3 times to lighten it.
Deselect.

Highlight L2 layer and repeat the above step with the bulbs indicated:


Highlight L3 layer and repeat the above step with the bulbs indicated:


Highlight L4 layer and repeat the above step with the bulbs indicated:


Go back and give each light layer a drop shadow.
Close out L2 layer, L3 layer, and L4 layer.
Only L1 layer should be left open.

Copy and paste Tree (copy) as a new layer.
Duplicate/Resize 70%/Lower the Opacity to about 53
Move both trees into position in front of the circle cloud layer.
Highlight the circle loud layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each tree layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Tree 2 (copy) as a new layer just below the largest tree in your layers pallet.
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Highlight the rectangle cloud layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight Tree 2 layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
Ornament 2:  Resize 10% and 50%/Duplicate as many times as you like.
Ornament 1:  Resize 10% and 50%/Duplicate as many times as you like.
Candy Cane:  Resize 10% and 60%/Duplicate as many times as you like.
Fir Sprig:  Duplicate/Flip
Red Gold Bow:  Resize 25%
Candle:  Resize 40%/Mirror
Reindeer:  Resize 40%
Red Bow Frame:  Resize 90%
Gift 5:  Resize 25% and 40%
Gift 6:  Resize 25% and 35%

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Foreground:  #8a0000
Background: #efefef
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Apply the same Noise effect.

Resize all layers 80%.

Copy Merge.

Open up Animation Shop.
Edit/Paste/As New Animation

Back in PSP.
Close out L1 layer.
Open up L2 layer.
Copy Merge.

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.
Close out L layer.
Open up L2 layer.
Copy Merge.

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.
Close out L31 layer.
Open up L3 layer.
Copy Merge.

Carry into AS.
Edit/Paste/After Current Frame.

Back in PSP.

Angle: 0
Repeats: 1
Invert checked
OK

Highlight Glitter Rectangle Right layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 63%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with:
Glitter Rectangle Left
Glitter Rectangle.

Highlight Rectangle Right layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 6
Mirror
Copy and Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle Right layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Make Paper 6 active.
Undo the mirroring you did.
Copy and paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Dotted Line 1 layer.
Click outside of them with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 9 as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Gold Rectangle layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with:
Lines
Dotted Rectangle

Highlight Thin Rectangle 1 layer.
Click on each one with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Thin Rectangle 2 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Create a new canvas - any size - 500 x 500 will do.
Flood fill with #e6e6e6
Copy
Close this out as you won’t need it any more.

Highlight Dotted Lines 2 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Paste the color Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Eyecandy 3. 1 - Glow:
Width: 3
Opacity: 100
Opacity Drop off:  Fat
Color: #000000
OK

Highlight Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Change the Properties to Overlay.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Multiply
Lower the Opacity to about 51
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Glitter Spill:  Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate and Flip both Glitter Spill layers
Floral Deco:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror
Key 2:  Resize 25%
Key 1:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Left 5 degrees
Flower 2:  Resize 30%
Flower 3:  Resize 25%
Butterfly 1: Resize 80%/Mirror
Butterfly 2:  Resize 80%
Feather:  Resize 25%/Flip/Duplicate/Free rotate Right 15 degrees

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Foreground:  #000000
Background: #474747
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 80%.

Supplies

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 650
OK
Highlight the Background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 6 layers.

Open up Paper 9.
Using your Selection Tool set on Rectangle section off a small area of the darkest green you can find on the paper.
In your Materials pallet set your foreground to Pattern and look for the green portion of the paper you sectioned off.
Angle: 0
Scale: 250

Highlight Gradient Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight White Circle Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with your pattern.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 45%
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with:
Rectangle Frames
Green Frame
Circle Frames

Highlight Red Circle Frame layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #854e24
Apply the same Noise effect.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Red Frame layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Long Rectangle layers.
Click outside of them with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 9 as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Gold Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Element 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Small Circles layer.
Click on each one with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it over one of the end circles paper.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Duplicate/Mirror/Tube should be over the opposite end circle.
Highlight the Small Circles template layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each tube layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it in front of the center circle.

Add your elements.  I used:
Branch (this one is positioned behind the large circle layer):  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate and flip both branch layers.
Branch (again):  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
Star String:  Resize 50%
Element 10:  Resize 30%
Cookie:  Resize 50%

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 9 (be sure to Deselect the section) Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.

Resize all layers 80%.

Holiday Serenity



Supplies

1 tube of choice - I used the artwork of Anna Marine which can be purchased from CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Before the Rain here

Becky Mask 22 here

Punky Butt’s template 71 here

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~♥~ Let’s get started ~♥~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Resize all layers 80%
Image/Canvas Size
700 x 550
OK
Highlight the Background layer.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 6 layers, Raster 3, and Raster 5 layers.

Highlight Raster 1 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 3 as a new layer.
Resize 55%
Position the left side of the paper over the template.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Raster 2 layer.
Repeat the above step accept position the right side of the paper over the template layer.

Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #920007

Highlight  Raster 4 layer.
Use your Target Tool and change the color of the template layer.

Repeat the above step with the following layers:
Raster 6
Raster 7
Raster 9
Raster 13

Highlight Raster 9 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as  anew layer.
Resize 68%
Position over the template layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Raster 10 layer.
Repeat the above step.

Highlight Raster 14 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Move into position.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.


Add your elements.  I used:
23:  Resize 60%/Duplicate/Mirror/Duplicate and flip both branch layers.
4:  Resize 40%/Duplicate/Mirror
24:  Resize 45%/Mirror/Free rotate Right 10 degrees
39:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Mirror
7:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Left 25 degrees
6:  Resize 25%/Mirror/Free rotate Right 25 degrees
26:  Resize 25%
27:  Resize 25% and 80%/Flip/Duplicate

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Use your Pick Tool and turn it slightly to give a slanted look.

Resize all layers 80%.
