Dirty Princess

Supplies

1 tube of choice – I used the gorgeous artwork of Elizabeth Austin which can be purchased from Up Your Art.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice - I used Inspiration here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Stroke – Crosshatch

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Film Strip as a new layer.
Resize 80%
Click inside of each square with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Click inside the first square of the film strip.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Copy and paste your tube below the film strip.
Resize if needed and move into position.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Repeat the above step with the remaining squares in the film strip but show a different area of your tube in each.

Merge Visible all tube layers.

Highlight the film strip layer.
Click inside of each square with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
Duplicate the merged tube layer.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 2
OK
Apply Brush Stroke – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 22
Sharpness:  6
Strength: 2
OK
Deselect.

Close out your white canvas.
Merge Visible.
Reopen your white canvas.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 225 x 175 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Duplicate
Move both rectangles into position behind the merged layer – see my tag for reference.

Highlight either of the rectangles.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Contract by 4.
New Raster layer.
Open up Paper 9
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 20
OK
Make your working canvas active.
Copy and paste Into Selection.
Deselect.

Repeat with the other black rectangle.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it over both of the pink rectangles in a way that looks nice.
Change the Properties to Soft Light.
Duplicate/In your layers pallet move above the other pink rectangle.

To each tube layer:
Highlight the pink rectangle.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer above it.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer in front of the merged film strip.

Add your elements.  I used:
Wire 2
Bow:  Resize 40%
Bottle:  Duplicate
Fuzzy Heart:  Resize 35%/Free Rotate Right 15 degrees
Butterfly:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Right 15 degrees/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror
Star Chain:  Resize 25%/Free rotate Left 15 degrees
Sparkles

Highlight your white canvas.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.

Crop your image.

Resize all layers 80%.
