European Steampunk Tour

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Image/Canvas size:
700 x 600
OK
New Raster layer.
Send to bottom.
Flood fill white.
Delete the top 2 layers.

Highlight Glitter Rectangle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #713b15
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked:
Noise: 41
OK
Deselect.

Repeat the above step with:
Glitter Circle 1
Glitter Circle 2

Open up a blank canvs – any size.
Flood fill with the same color you were just using.
Copy.
Close this image out.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight Dotted Line layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Paste the color Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection (don’t close this paper out as you’ll be using it again)
Copy and paste Wire Cogs as a new layer.
Position over the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Highlight Circle 1 layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
New Raster layer.
Mirror Paper 3 and copy Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Circle 2 layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 19 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Stripes layer.

Highlight Half Circle layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 5 as a new layer.
Move into a position you like.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Tower as a new layer.
Position over the paper.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Poser 2:  Resize 90%
Old Paper:  Resize 60%
Ivy 1
Rose:  Resizes 60%/Mirror
Deco 2:  Resize 40%
Cogwheel 3:  Resize 30%
Coin:  Resize 25%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 15 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #c6011b
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Convert to a Raster layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Contract by 1
Give it an Inner Bevel.

Resize all layers 80%.

Springfully Delightful

Supplies

1 tube of choice – I used the beautiful artwork of Katerina Koukiotis which can be purchased from PSP TubeStop.  You must have a license to use.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 575 x 360 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 17 Into Selection.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 15%
OK
Selections/Modify/Contract by 12.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Give this paper layer a drop shadow.
Merge Down.
Both papers should now be on the same layer.
Center this merged layer on your canvas.
DO NOT give this layer a drop shadow yet.

Copy and paste Matt 2 as a new layer – don’t worry about placement.
Resize 80%
Open up the circle template that I supplied.
Copy and paste it as a new layer.
Center it over the Matte.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Deselect and position the tube over the circle layer.
Give the tube layer a drop shadow now.
Merge Visible with the circle paper layer – the tube layer will be overhanging the circle.
Highlight the circle template layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube/paper merged layer.
Tap the delete key.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Inside Outside Feather:
Both checked
Feather amount: 30
OK
Tap the delete key until you have a nice feathered look to the merged layer.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Merge Visible the tube/paper merged layer and the matte.

Move both merged layers into position – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste Eyelet Lace 4 as a new layer.
Resize 50%
Position behind the merged rectangle layer allowing a little of the lace to be seen just over the top of the rectangle – see my tag for reference.
Duplicate/Flip – position this at the bottom of the rectangle.
Highlight the original lace layer and duplicate twice.
To one of the layers Free rotate Right 90 degrees. 
To the other layer free rotate Left 90 degrees.
Move both of these vertical lace layers into position at the sides of the rectangle.
Give each lace layer a drop shadow.
Using your Eraser Tool – you can use the default settings but lower the Hardness to about 22 – you want to erase all of the lace that overhangs accept create a type of point at the corners so that the vertical and horizontal laces blend together:

Copy and paste dblframeclstr as a new layer.
Resize 40%
Mirror
Move into position behind the top left of the rectangle – see my tag for reference.
Paste the frame again.
Resize 40%
Flip
Move into position behind the bottom right of the rectangle – see my tag for reference.  Erase the bit of butterfly that stick out from the rectangle.

To each frame layer:
Use your Magic Wand and click inside the frame that can be seen.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frame.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Scatter 1 as a new layer.
Resize 35%
Make your Target Tool active and change the color of this element to #64586f.
Copy and paste Brad 4 as a new layer.
Resize 10%
Move it into position over the center of one of the scatter flowers.
Duplicate the brad and place over the center of another flower.
Keep doing this until all the scatter flowers have the brad over the centers.
Merge Visible all the brads and scatter layer.
Resize the merged layer 70%
Duplicate
Move both into position – see my tag for reference.

Add your elements.  I used:
Garden Vignette 1:  Resize 60%
Hummingbird 1:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
Jrnl Paper 1 & 2:  Resize 50%/Free rotate Left 20 degrees
Ribbon:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Flip and move to the bottom behind the rectangle
Ribbon again: Resize 70%/Duplicate/Mirror/move behind the top left frame.
Matte 3:  Resize 70%
  
Crop your image.

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste The kit preview Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian blur:
Radius: 20
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the sides out just a little.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #eab0ef
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Give it an Inner Bevel.

Resize all layers 80%.

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 12 layers and Spare Glitter Sheet layer.
Highlight and open Bg layer.

Highlight Top Striped Circle layer.
Copy and paste Frame 1 as a new layer.
Resize 130%
Move into position over the template layer.
Delete the template.

Duplicate the frame layer.
Move into position over Bottom Striped Template layer.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight White Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Highlight Bottom Gray Strip layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #79c3d4.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Highlight Gray Oval layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 8 Into Selection.
Duplicate
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 7
Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass:
Use Default Settings.
Deselect.
Merge down.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.

Open up Glitter 2.
In your Color Pallet set the Background to Pattern:
Look for Glitter 2 – click on it.
Angle: 114
Scale: 10

Highlight White Oval Frame layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the pattern.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Top Black Circle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with #765141.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Bottom Black Circle layer.
Repeat the above step.

Color Pallet:
Background: #765141  
Foreground: #f2ccd7
Set the background to Gradient:
Look for your gradient – click on it.
Style: Linear
Angle: 90
Repeats: 0

Highlight Large Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Flood fill with the gradient.
Copy and paste your image as a new layer over the gradient.
Resize the image as needed and move into a position you like.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Change the image Properties to Overlay.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Ticket:  Resize 80%/Free rotate Left 70 degrees/Duplicate/Free rotate Left 25 degrees
Lights:  Free rotate Right 7 degrees
Bow 3:  Resize 30%
BFly 1:  Resize 35%
Flower 3
Kitty 1:  Resize 40%
Kitty:  Resize 70%
Bottle:  Resize 50%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 15
OK
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.
Move to the left just a little.
Use your Pick Tool and pull the right side out just a bit.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #000000
Background: #ef7ec2
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Give it the same Inner Bevel 3x’s.

Resize all layers 80%.

Blue Dreams

Supplies

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~~ Lets get started ~~

This tutorial is a quickie!

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 5 as a new layer.
Resize 65%
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Selections/Modify/Contract by 17.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Bling 1 as a new layer over the paper layer.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position in front of the frame.
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Selections/Invert
Highlight the tube layer.
Use your Eraser Tool to erase any part of the tube you don’t want to hang outside of the frame.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
Grapevine 1:  Resize 45%/Duplicate/Mirror
Tree 1:  Resize 45%/Duplicate/Mirror
Ribbon 5:  Resize 35%/Flip
Flower 3:  Resize 45%
Flower 1: Resize 45% and 80%/Duplicate
The butterflies from the tube – Highlight the layer that has them.  Use your Freehand Selection Tool and circle around them. Copy.  Paste on your  working canvas.  Duplicate.

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 16 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 95%
Merge Group.

Add your credits.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #927b5d
Background: #161517
Stroke: 1
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.

Resize all layers 80%.
