Ocean Waves


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the fantastic artwork of Alex Prihodko which can be purchased from Pics For Design.  You must generate a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Rock Salt here

Monti’s Circular Mask here

“Ocean Waves” is a tagger size scrap kit (also available in Full Size) created by Stina of Designed by Stina.  It can be purchased from any of her stores listed on her blog here.  Thank you Stina for a beautiful kit. 
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Copy and paste Frame 3 as a new layer.
Resize 55%
Duplicate/Mirror/Flip
Free rotate Right 8 degrees
Duplicate
Flip
Move all 3 frames into exact position - see my tag for reference.
Use your Eraser Tool to erase the  frames that are inside of the left and right frames:

 Close out your white canvas.
Merge Visible.
Reopen your white canvas.

Click inside of the 3 merged frames.
Selections/Modify/Expand by 4.
New Raster layer below the frames.
Copy and paste Paper 6 Into Selection.
Copy and paste Lighthouse as a new layer below the frames.
Resize 40%
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Copy and paste Plant as a new layer just below the frames.
Resize 25%
Move into position - see my tag for reference.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste our tube as a new layer.

Add your elements.  I used:
Sailboat:  Resize 15%/Duplicate
Plant: Resize 30%
Palm Tree:  Resize 70%/Duplicate/Erase the trunk
Shells:  Resize 20%
Shell 2:  Resize 30%
Coral:  Resize 45%/Mirror
Starfish:  REsize 30%
Macaw:  Resize 20%
Flower 3:  Resize 20%
Rocks:  Resize 70%

Open up Frame 1.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Freehand.
Section off the bottom area of the frame:

Copy.
Make your working canvas active.
Paste as a new layer.
Duplicate
Move both sand layers into position - see my tag for reference.

Open up Paper 4.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Section out only the area of the paper that's printed.
Copy.
Close out the paper.

Make your working canvas active.
Highlight your white background.
Select All.
Paste Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.
Duplicate
Change the Properties to Multiply.
Duplicate

Add your copyrights.

Add your name:
Color Pallet: Null
Background: #2b2423

Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel

Add the following elements to decorate your name:
Flower 1:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Right 90 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror/Erase the stem
Flower 2:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Right 90 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror


Resize all layers 80%.
