Deadly Intentions


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Lorri Kajenna which can be purchased from Pics for Design here.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Rat Infested Mailbox here

Dangerously Delicious Designs Template 171 here
(Autumnrifically Happy)

Vix Mask 451 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch

 “Deadly Intentions” is a PTU tagger size scrap kit created by Cindy of Scrappin’ with Lil Ole Me and can be purchased from Tiny Turtle Designs store here.  Cindy, each of your kits is better than the last!!
  
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 8 layers, leaves overlay, and leaves recolorable layer.
Image/Resize -
Resize all layers 80%
OK
Image/Canvas Size
800 x 700
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.

Highlight Bottom Orange Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Copy and paste Paper 2 as a new layer above Bottom Yellow Square layer in your layers pallet.  Click the eye on this layer to close this layer off.
Right Click your mouse on the paper layer and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.  The paper should have appeared over the template.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Bottom Yellow Square layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the large paper layer in your layers pallet.
Right click your mouse on it and choose “Promote Section to Layer” from the submenu.  It should have appeared over the template layer.
Do Not deselect.
Copy and paste EL 37 as a new layer over the promoted layer.
Move into a position you like – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Delete both template layers.

To each promoted section layer:
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 9
Sharpness: 6
Strength: 1
OK

Highlight Pink Rectangle layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 5 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Use same settings.

Highlight Red Circle layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Apply an Inner Bevel 2x’s:

Highlight White Stripes.
Click on each one with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 13 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it the same Inner Bevel.

Highlight Yap Yellow Squares layer.
Click on the bottom yellow square only with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer above the template layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Highlight the template layer again.
Click on the top square only with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the layer you pasted the paper into the bottom square and paste the same paper Into Selection.
Highlight the template layer.
Click on the bottom square so that now both squares are selected.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over both squares and move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties of the tube to Overlay.
Delete the template layer.

Highlight Top Orange Square.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 1 Into Selection.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer over the paper layer.
Move into position – see my tag for reference.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Change the Properties of the tube to Overlay.

In your layers pallet move Top Small Dotted Squares just below Top Dotted Square layer.
Highlight Top Dotted Square layer.
Merge Down.
All the dotted squares should be on the same layer.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #ffffff
Background: #050200
Highlight the dotted squares layer.
Make your Color Replacer tool active and double right click on the dots. 
They should now be a very dark, almost black color.

Copy and paste EL 1 as a new layer.
Duplicate 3x’s for a total of 4.
Move them into position behind the large circle paper so that the tips of the flower petals stick out – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste EL 1 as a new layer.
Resize 15%/Duplicate
Move both flowers into position at the left of the large square – see my tag for reference.
Merge Visible both flowers.
Duplicate/Resize 70%/Duplicate
Move both layers into position on the left side of the smaller squares – see my tag for reference.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Move into position in front of all the squares – see my tag for reference.

Add your elements.  I used:
EL 28: Duplicate
EL 16:  Resize 90%/Duplicate
EL 75:  Resize 20%/Duplicate/Resize 70%
EL 7: Is placed in front of the large circle paper
EL 61:  Resize 45%/Duplicate/Resize 70%/Mirror
EL 17: Resize 30%
EL 99:  Resize 30%
EL 20:  Resize 60%
EL 108:  Resize 20%
EL 35:  Resize 40%
El 23: Duplicate 2x’s/Resize one of them 50% (to place in front of the cross)
EL 109 & 110:  Resize 10% and turn this way and that with your Pick Tool

Highlight your white background.
Select All.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 4 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground:  #ed6313
Background: #111111
Stroke: 1.0
Close out the Foreground color.
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Duplicate name layer.
Open up the Foreground color and swap the colors so now the dark color is in the foreground and the orange color is the background color.
Make your Color Replacer tool active.
Double right click on your name – it should turn Orange.
Highlight your black name layer.
Select All/Float/Defloat
Highlight your Orange name layer and move your name just slightly:
Select/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Gaussian and Monochrome checked
Noise: 50%
OK
Merge down.

Close out your white background.
Merge Visible.
Resize all layers 80%.
